Digital Illustration

In 2011, Roger Haus began his journey as a professional illustrator, immersing himself in the "hypnagogia" state to explore his subconscious. As he fell asleep, he would draw while listening to James Holden’s techno beats. He was inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s films, Edward Gorey, Blanquet, Moebius, Charles Burns, and Thomas Ott’s illustrations. He admired Salvador Dalí and other surrealists, seeking excellence in clean lines and surprising concepts. After months of practice, his free-flowing thoughts evolved into never-ending images. Embracing the idea of "More is more," the interwoven layers of icons placed on top of one another created an impressive web of organic shapes. The "Hypnagogies" digital art series was born, and from it, numerous characters, pop illustrations, and comics.
